Kevin T. Cimino

CEO and Managing Director

Mr. Cimino has over 30 years of experience in transactions, consulting and operations in a variety of industries. Mr. Cimino joined Athena in 2002 and became a Principal in January of 2003. He currently is the sole owner of Athena. During the 7 years since he joined Athena, Mr. Cimino also served as the COO for a real estate development company and COO and board member of a pharmaceutical company and CFO and board member of a medical device company. He also participated in and led the closing of approximately 20 capital raise and merger and acquisition transactions with a transaction value of nearly $200.0 million. Prior to joining Athena he was a Director with Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, an international investment bank. During his tenure with E&Y Capital Advisors, Mr. Cimino participated in and led capital raise, merger and acquisition and restructuring transactions. From 1995 to 2000 Mr. Cimino was with Quorum Health Resources, LLC (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quorum Health Group which was a publically traded hospital company with revenues of $1.5 billion and operations throughout the US) where he served as part of the senior management team. The operating division he ran provided transaction, consulting and operating services to healthcare providers throughout the US. Mr. Cimino began his professional career in 1978 in public accounting with Grant Thornton and later joined Ernst & Young where he was a member of the audit staff, tax staff and E&Y’s Entrepreneurial Services Group and Healthcare Industry Group. He left public accounting in 1995 to join Quorum. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida in 1980. He is a registered representative and holds Series 63, 7 and 24 licenses. Over his 30 year professional career Mr. Cimino has been active in a variety of professional, civic and charitable organizations. Mr. Cimino has spoken nationally on a variety of business topics.
