Joseph J. Troy

Hector Gomez Mr. Troy has over 23 years of business experience primarily in corporate finance and capital markets. He has extensive experience in merger and acquisition transactions and has raised over $4 billion across a wide range of public and private equity and debt instruments to support growth and strategic initiatives. He has been instrumental in the corporate turnaround and restructuring of Walter Industries, Inc. (NYSE:WLT) over his ten year tenure at the company. Mr. Troy has experience in a variety of industries such as banking, metals and mining, natural resources, industrial products, real estate, homebuilding and mortgage financing.

Mr. Troy is currently Chairman and CFO of GuardianLion Wireless, LLC, a developer of GPS/GSM locater devices. Prior to joining GuardianLion, he was Executive Vice President for JWH Holding Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Walter Industries. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Walter Industries from 2006 to 2008. Prior to being named CFO, he served as Senior Vice President of Walter from 2000 to 2006 responsible for a variety of functions, including M&A. From 1998 to 2000 he was Vice President and Treasurer of Walter. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Troy also served as Chief Executive Officer of Walter Mortgage Company from 2001 to 2006, a $235 million in revenue mortgage finance business line owned by Walter.

Prior to rejoining Walter Industries in November 2000, he served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gold Standard Multimedia from February 2000 to November 2000. He was employed by NationsBank and predecessor banking institutions (now Bank of America) from 1985 to 1998, last serving as Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance. He earned his MBA, along with a bachelor's degree in business administration from Loyola College in Baltimore.

Mr. Troy currently serves as Chairman of GuardianLion Wireless, LLC. He also sits on various charitable boards such as A Kids Place, Kids Charity of Tampa Bay and is Vice Chairman for Friends of Joshua House. Mr. Troy is a member of the Rotary Club of Tampa Bay and Financial Executive Institute (FEI).
